Over the years, the fashion industry is increasingly moving away from the classical canons of beauty, and people with different features of appearance are becoming more and more models.

Saskia de Brau is a model that revived a career thanks to its androgynous appearance.

The girl was born in 1981 in the suburbs of Amsterdam and tried herself in the role of a model already at the age of 16 years. It happened completely by accident - a representative of one of the agency noticed Saskia in the tram and offered to cooperate.

But the young model was rejected as a model, and de Brau's career ended as suddenly as it began.

Sincere childhood, the profession of the artist has been the dream of a girl. Having buried her thoughts on a model's career, Saskia entered the school of art in Amsterdam, and having finished it, she began teaching.

At one of the parties of creative people, Saskia's friend, who worked as a makeup artist, was able to convince the girl to try her hand at the modeling industry again. De Brau listened to the advice, and in 2010 she signed a contract with the agency Paparazzi Model Management, which accepted her with open arms.

At one of the castings of the Givenchy campaign, the art director Riccardo Tisci noticed the model, who later introduced the girl to the chief editor of Paris-based Vogue, Karin Roitfeld. Thanks to this meeting, de Brau got on the cover of one of the most prestigious fashion magazines.

The appearance of a photograph of Saskia on the cover of Vogue aroused interest in the girl from a large number of fashion designers and photographers. The career of the Dutch model began to develop rapidly, and after a few years de Brau became one of the most popular models with androgynous appearance.

Not always in life, something happens immediately, but you should never stop after the first attempt. It is this moral that carries the story of Saskia de Brau, who has successfully rehabilitated her modeling career.
